Welcome to Cotswold Airport...

Executive travel reimagined

Ronan Harvey - Cotswold Airport

Cotswold Airport (Formerly RAF Kemble) is steeped in history and nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, with convenient links to local road and rail networks....

The airport is the largest private airport in the UK, having the longest private runway (featuring RNP instrument approaches), allowing it to service even the largest of aircraft private or commercial.

Cotswold Airport is home to growing Business and General Aviation (GA) communities and a host of successful businesses. As well as continued growth, the site is committed to being carbon neutral by 2030.

Kemble Air Services Ltd is the licensed operator of Cotswold Airport and is committed to making it one of the finest airfields in the country, whilst remaining mindful of the natural charm that abounds on this 532-acre site.

The airport is owned by Ronan Harvey who purchased it from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in 2001 and successfully turned it into a thriving civilian airport.

Whilst operated by the MOD, the airport was famous for being the home of the RAF Aerobatic Team, the 'Red Arrows'. This history is commemorated with a Red Arrow ‘GNAT’ taking pride of place beside the airport’s café & restaurant, AV8.

Our vision for Cotswold Airport...

Ronan’s daughter, Suzannah Harvey, is the CEO of Cotswold Airport and is building on her father’s vision by continuing the airport’s trajectory to become a leading hub for aviation, a thriving base for aviation and non-aviation related businesses, and a bespoke function venue.

2022 saw the installation of British Airways B747-400, G-CIVB ‘Negus’, as an elegant and unique space for conferences, weddings, corporate events and private hire. Negus adds another piece of aviation history to this already storied airfield.

Cotswold Airport has recently partnered with industry leaders Solivus, who are helping install next-generation solar panels at key points on the airfield. This project involves cutting-edge solar ‘film’ which is both lightweight and non-reflective. When complete up to 23% of Cotswold Airport’s energy needs will be generated from renewables. This is a big step towards the airport’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
