We have an exciting opportunity to join our Control Tower team as an Aerodrome Flight Information Service Officer (AFISO). Cotswold Airport (formerly RAF Kemble) the home of the legendary Negus B747, is a dynamic, exciting and thriving airfield, which handles 35.000 movements a year comprising of an enviable and varied mix of general aviation, Biz Jets, Airliners. We are also at the forefront of future and sustainable aviation as the home of EVTOL and Hydro-engine flight operations.

Role:
Job Title: Flight Information Service Officer (AFISO) Aerodrome
Salary: Competitive
Hours: 40 Hours per week (currently Tuesday to Sunday)
Position Permanent

Job Specification:
• Provide an AFISO service in accordance with the Air Navigation Order (ANO)
• Be conversant with CAP 797, CAP 774, CAP 1032 and associated FIS documentation
• Be responsible for the Air Traffic Service Unit when rostered as the Duty FISO
• Coordinate emergency situations, category and appropriate actions
• Compile and disseminate unofficial Met reports
• Airside driving
• Granting or declining PPR requests via RedAtlas
• Wildlife control
• Submitting and actioning NOTAM messages
• Actioning AFTN messages via AFPEx
• Coordinating flight operations with other ATSU agencies
• Coordinating Border Force requirements
• Brief external works contractors
• Flexibility in delivery to meet business requirements
• Work as part of a team and display the required personal values and integrity

Qualifications:
Desirable
· Hold a UK CAA issued Flight Information or ATCO licence – (Desirable)
· Hold a radio Operators Certificate of Competence
Essential
. Demonstrate suitable aviation knowledge or qualifications for the role
· Hold or be suitable to pass a CAA medical
· Hold a Full UK driving Licence
· Be at least 18 years old and legally able to reside and work within the UK
. Speak fluent English (min ICAO Level 4 proficiency)

Considerations:
Cotswold Airport is set in a rural location, therefore reliable personal transport is required. The predominant work start time is 08.30am, therefore punctuality is essential.
