Cotswold Airport, formally RAF Kemble, today announced a new executive structure to build on the airport’s soaring reputation as a hotbed for innovation in sustainable aviation and its growing prominence as a buzzing hub of business aviation.
The UK’s largest privately owned airport, purchased from the RAF in 2001 by Ronan Harvey, has seen continual growth and profitability as it has developed over the last 25 years, with Suzannah Harvey at the Helm as CEO. The business has ambitious goals for further growth and will be further developing its capabilities and hangarage to offer enhanced aviation services to the industry. The Airport is thus restructuring its executive team to better position and guide the business through this growth.
Glen Moreman has been at the airport since the start, joining the team as a volunteer in 1995 before going full time in 2001 and becoming operations manager in February 2022. Glen has announced his intention to begin to slow down and return to a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO) role, a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) certified position providing essential information—such as weather, traffic, and runway status—to pilots.
Graham Carter has joined the business as Group Chief of Staff and Airport Managing Director. Graham brings extensive experience in business growth within the aviation sector from roles as an air operator and MD of a private airline provisioning jets and helicopters. Graham most recently was Business Development Manager at Gloucestershire airport.
Operations Manager Antonia (Toni) Silk, a longstanding member of the Cotswold Airport team has been promoted onto the board as Operations Director maximising use of her knowledge of the day to day running of the site in preparing it for further growth and development.
Suzannah Harvey, CEO Cotswold Airport, who also sits as Honorary Commander for the 99 ERS USAF at Fairford, supporting the local community and service personnel with community integration said, “It has been an incredible journey over the last 25 years, as we have grown and developed the airport into what it is today. We could not have managed it without the incredible team that we have in place, and these changes only strengthen our management capabilities to enable us to focus on the next stage of growth and development of this amazing business.
“I would like to especially thanks Glen for his amazing work and dedication over the last 25 years, we are extremely happy that we are not losing him entirely and look forward to working alongside him in his FISO role.
“I would like to welcome Graham to the business, his expertise and experience will help us build on the reputation that we have established in the business Jet arena, to really level up and become the go to Cotswold destination for private aviation.”
Glen Moreman commented, “I grew up in Kemble watching the planes at the airfield, so it has been a dream for me to spend my career here working to transform it into the airport it is today. It has been an amazing journey full of great memories such as organising the Hunter Hawker 50th Anniversary we hosted at the airport. I look forward to continuing to work with the team, just with a new hat/headset on!”
Graham Carter, Group Chief of Staff & Managing Director, Cotswold Airport said, “It is exciting to join such an established business in an exciting phase of growth. I look forward to working with the team to ensure that Cotswold Airport is the premiere destination in the region for private air travel, building on our reputation for bespoke service, speed and discretion.”
